FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many matches will we get to play?
Every team will be guaranteed 3 matches. Each match consists of two games. Teams that make it to the Championship Match will have played 6 total matches.
How big are the courts?
This year’s courts are roughly 47’ long by 23’ wide. Each team’s defensive area will be roughly 23.5’ x 23’ which will give you plenty of space to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.
No one on my team has played Dodgeball since the 4th grade, are their different levels of play or is this an open tournament?
This is an open field tournament, meaning anyone can play and everyone will be paired up together, regardless of ability level. It’s all about supporting a great cause so, get your team pumped up, get everyone to dress in a costume and remember to have FUN!
If I get hit in the face with the ball is it going to hurt?
This year we are using 6 1/4” dodgeballs that are super soft on the inside with a sting-free coated exterior that easily absorbs any direct blow (including those to the face). So don’t worry, if you take one to the kisser you won’t be walking around for the next week with a Dodgeball welt tattooed to your forehead.
What are the tournament rules?
We are excited to partner with our good friends at R&D Events, the country’s premier provider of custom designed interactive experiences, who are based in Henderson, NV and will be once again coordinating this year’s tournament! They have executed multiple Dodgeball Tournaments for corporate clients throughout the country and they have developed a custom set of rules that take into consideration both the venue as well as the broad range of skill levels to ensure that the games stay competitive. We recommend your entire team review the rules section of this site as your team will be held accountable for them throughout the course of the tournament.
