WHAT:  The Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation (PKYF) will give brand new bicycles, helmets and locks to dozens of underprivileged students enrolled in After-School All-Stars Las Vegas (ASAS), a program that provides after-school enrichment, cultural and academic opportunities to more than 5,500 students from 13 at-risk schools throughout the Clark County School District. On March 22, students from West Prep Academy, Martinez Elementary and CT Sewell Elementary will gather for lunch, outdoor activities and games and receive gifts at Piero’s Italian Cuisine for the 12th Annual PK Bike Day. The specially selected students met guidelines in academics, school attendance, and good citizenship and were chosen by teachers and after-school site leaders for participation.

PKYF honors the legacy of the late Patrick Kelley, a beloved local businessman and philanthropist. The Foundation’s mission is to provide support and encourage underprivileged children to pursue education, gain self-confidence through sports, and achieve their goals in order to build character and become responsible and successful adults. Since the inaugural PK Bike Day in 2004, the foundation has provided more than 2,050 bicycles to ASAS students. In addition, the foundation has donated more than $250,000 for college scholarships to Las Vegas students.  Visit www.pkyf.org for additional information.
